Chris embarked on his healthcare journey in 2013, initially serving as a nursing assistant while pursuing his Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program at Grayson College. After graduation, he gained valuable experience working on a Neuro/Spine unit, providing care for patients suffering from strokes, seizures, migraines, and various neurological disorders.
In 2016, he broadened his expertise by obtaining his Associates of Science in Nursing degree from Grayson College, subsequently becoming a licensed Registered Nurse. This milestone marked his transition to the Intensive Care Unit, where he attended to critically ill patients with utmost diligence and dedication.

Continuing his educational journey, Chris graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This academic achievement facilitated his move into a leadership role at a local hospital. For over five years, he served as the Director of Med/Surg, Swing Beds, Case Management, Nursing Administration, and Wound Care at TMC Bonham Hospital.
During this leadership tenure, Chris furthered his education by attending the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2022, he graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Before his healthcare career, Chris dedicated eight years to serving the US military, with three years in the Army and five years in the Navy Reserves. He was deployed to Iraq in 2004, where he contributed to establishing a democratic government. As an M88A2 Tracked Recovery Vehicle operator, his role was crucial in recovering vehicles damaged in enemy attacks. For his commendable service during deployment, Chris was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.
