Amer graduated from University of California Polytechnical Institute in San Luis Obispo, California with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science in 2018. He always knew that he wanted to do something in the medical field because both his parents had worked in them when he was growing up. Thus, he began his journey into the medical field in 2019 as a medical assistant in spine and pain rehabilitation. Soon after, he moved to Oklahoma and received his master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Oklahoma City in 2025.

His passion for Neurology came from his experiences. His first experience was with his grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and lived with his family for as long as he can remember. His next experience was when his father had a TIA and shortly after, his uncle had a stroke. He has been exposed to neurological conditions his whole life and wanted to play an integral part in treating them instead of just being exposed to them.

He believes that Neurological conditions don’t only affect the patient but also, the families involved as well.  It is his goal to help manage, educate, and provide each patient with the support and tools to have the best quality of life possible.
